Airlines cancel flights to Haiti after Spirit Airlines flight hit by gunfire

U.S. airlines are canceling flights in and out of Haiti after a Spirit Airlines plane was hit by gunfire as it was approaching Port-au-Prince, forcing it to divert to the Dominican Republic. It comes as a post-flight inspection of a JetBlue plane that landed at JFK in New York after returning from Haiti found that the aircraft’s exterior had been struck by a bullet. NBC’s Tom Costello reports for TODAY.
