What Israel’s attacks mean for Syria’s new government | DW News

From DW News.

Israel and Syria have agreed to a ceasefire after Israel’s bombardment of Damascus this week. That’s according to Washington’s special envoy for Syria Tom Barrack. The reported deal follows renewed clashes between Syrian government forces and rival Bedouin and Druze fighters. Israel said it intervened to protect the minority Druze community. The recent violence has killed 718 people and displaced tens of thousands. The UN says it has credible reports of summary executions and arbitrary killings.
