From DW News.
Tens of thousands are feared trapped in the Sudanese city of el-Fasher – as evidence of atrocities mounts since the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces seized the city last Sunday.
Survivors who have fled speak of mass killings, including children – sexual violence, beatings and robberies. The UN says more than 60,000 people have fled the key city in Sudan’s Darfur region without food or water, some with gunshot wounds. Many of the displaced are seeking refuge in Tawila some 70 kilometers to the west of el-Fasher.
