Climber Saved In High-Risk Rescue Mission After Fall At Yosemite

From Inside Edition.

Climber Derek Strittmatter fell in Yosemite National Park, shattering his arm and hitting his head against the rocks, and became trapped on a cliff 2,000 feet up. A helicopter dropped rescuer Jesse McGahey on the cliff. He strapped Strittmatter into a stretcher so that he could be flown off the mountain. Strittmatter says he knows how lucky he is to have survived. Last month, famous climber Balin Miller lost his life in a fall at El Capitan. Inside Edition reunited Strittmatter and his rescuer.
