At least five people died in Vietnam after Typhoon Kalmaegi battered coastal areas, officials said. In Gia Lai province, which bore the brunt of the typhoon, shrimp farmer Nguyen Dinh Sa lost nearly $38,000 after his ponds were wiped out.
