From Global News.
Drone video from the Philippines on Monday showed flooded farmlands and submerged houses after a nearby river overflowed due to heavy rains brought on by Typhoon Fung-wong.
It ravaged the Philippines overnight, killing at least two people and cutting off some towns as residents emerged on Monday morning after a sleepless night to assess the damage.
"I was not able to sleep last night. I told my grandchildren to pray for our safety. I was just sitting the whole night waiting for the storm to pass," said resident Filomena Mariano.
Meanwhile, the rise in the number of typhoons hitting the Philippines this year is of “serious concern”, said a climate expert who warned, "the year’s not over yet. This might not be the final one for the year."
