South African Police Service captain Johan Potgieter was hoisted out of crocodile-infested waters last week during a search for the remains of a missing man. In this video, Potgieter is lifted out of the water with the reptile presumed to be responsible for eating said man. Though the croc was reportedly euthanized before the operation, authorities said Potgieter “courageously secured” the animal “under extremely dangerous conditions.” DNA samples found in the croc’s intestines confirmed the identity of the deceased. #Animals #Crocodile
