Ancient human remains have been discovered in Toronto’s Riverdale neighbourhood have been under 24 hour supervision for more than nine months straight.

Now the cost of monitoring the site has soared while little physically has been done to learn more about them.

The city says it’s all about respecting Indigenous stakeholders, but an archeologist is calling the lack of urgency “disrespectful.”
