Exit poll results projected on the exterior of the BBC’s Broadcasting House show Keir Starmer’s opposition Labour party on course for a landslide win in Britain’s general election. The polls, announced by several UK broadcasters, signal the end of 14 years of Conservative rule, suggesting Labour would win 410 seats in the 650-seat parliament, with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s ruling Tories trailing on 131. The result would be the Conservatives’ worst defeat since the beginning of the 20th century.
