Florida faces record-breaking flooding as heavy rainfall continues in the southeast

From Global News.

Parts of Florida are experiencing severe flooding after a torrential rainstorm brought record-breaking downpours to the southern part of the state on Wednesday.
More than 10 centimetres of rain fell in just a few hours for the second straight day, triggering flash floods in several municipalities.

The relentless rain has made dangerous road conditions, even stranding some drivers. Hundreds of flight delays and cancellations have also been reported.
The National Weather Service is predicting above-normal hurricane activity in the Atlantic basin for the 2024 season, which runs from June 1 to Nov. 30.
