Forced sale of InfoWars to The Onion ‘a great marriage,’ says expert

Satirical media outlet The Onion has won Alex Jones’s InfoWars at a bankruptcy auction, backed by families of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Courts awarded the families over $1 billion US in defamation damages from Jones, after he spread conspiracies related to the shooting. Joel Kaplan, a Syracuse University professor and former investigative journalist, says the combination of The Onion and InfoWars ‘actually makes a lot of sense.’
