Foreign interference inquiry resumes after damning allegations against India

From Global News.

A day after the RCMP raised damning allegations against India, claiming government agents are linked to dozens of violent crimes targeting Canadians, Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc testified at the ongoing foreign interference inquiry.

Asked Monday if he thought the inquiry’s mandate should be expanded to encompass some of the new allegations, LeBlanc said he doesn’t think it was necessary.

On Tuesday, he told the commission he has “total confidence” in the safety of Canada’s elections.

Nathaniel Dove reports on LeBlanc’s testimony, and what the inquiry has revealed about communication at the highest levels of government.
