Thousands of Republicans have gathered in the US state of Wisconsin for the party convention where they’re expected to confirm Donald Trump as their presidential candidate. DW’s Washington Bureau Chief Ines Pohl spoke to German lawmaker Jens Spahn (CDU) about the possibility of another Trump presidency and the potential impact on US-German and US-EU relations. Jens Spahn is one of the leaders of the Christian Democrats, the biggest opposition party in the German parliament. He served as the health minister in Angela Merkel’s last government.
