In December 2023, reproductive rights activist Kate Cox sued the state of Texas in an attempt to obtain an emergency abortion that she said her doctor deemed necessary to protect her health and her chance of future fertility. Texas Supreme Court ultimately ruled against Cox, forcing her to leave the state to get an abortion. Cox joins Morning Joe to discuss the challenge to reproductive rights posed by Republicans in this election. The Meteor’s Cindi Leive and All In Together’s Lauren Leader also join the discussion.
