Israel’s military has launched ground raids against Hezbollah targets inside southern Lebanon, targeting villages close to the border it pose an "immediate threat to Israeli communities.”

The Israeli government is calling the offensive “limited, localized and targeted.” But Western leaders fear the move risks tipping the region into a wider war.
