JWST finds Oldest Galaxy So Far #shorts

From Curious Droid.

With its first deep field image the James Webb Space Telescope is already proving just how capable its is by discovering what’s thought to be the oldest galaxy so far GLASS-z13. This is thought to be 100 million years older than the previous record holder GN-z11 which was discovered by the Hubble space telescope in 2015.
GLASS-z13 is a Lyman-break galaxy discovered by the Grism Lens-Amplified Survey from Space (GLASS) observing program on the JWST and dates back to just 300–400 million years after the Big Bang and is at distance of 35 billion light years away.
