U.S. Vice-President Kamala Harris urged Americans to be the stars and the light if the country is heading into dark times, as she conceded her loss to president-elect Donald Trump in the U.S. election on Wednesday. Harris ended her speech with the adage "only when it is dark enough can we see the stars," and called on supporters to use optimism, faith, truth and service to guide them.
