The leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, was killed in an Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip, Israeli officials said. Sinwar was the architect of the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attack, and Israeli Prme Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said “today, the mastermind of this day of sheer evil is no more.” NBC News’ Erin McLaughlin reports, and a warning: some of the images are disturbing.
