Man arrested for shoplifting by mounted police in New Mexico

A person was arrested for shoplifting by mounted police in New Mexico, the Albuquerque Police Department (APD) said.

Footage posted by the APD shows the suspect trying to flee the scene as several mounted officers surrounded him back on March 20.

The suspect, identified as a 30-year-old man, stole $230 worth of merchandise and was charged with shoplifting, evading police, and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
