More aid lorries enter Gaza after US threat to cut Israel’s military support | BBC News

From BBC News.

More lorries carrying aid have reached northern Gaza for the third day running, after a period of two weeks without aid deliveries.

The Israeli military said 50 trucks have entered today, after the US threatened to take away some military support unless Israel boosted aid within 30 days.

In an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, the US ambassador to the UN said the US was watching to make sure Israel’s actions on the ground do not amount to a "policy of starvation".

Israel’s ambassador to the UN said Israel was committed to allowing aid into Gaza, saying "there’s no shortage" of it but that Hamas is to blame for delays.
