US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called for cutting off weapons and support to Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces as violence escalates in Al-Fashir.

His comments came just before the UN Human Rights Council voted to launch an independent fact finding mission into alleged mass killings in the region.

The RSF denies targeting civilians or blocking humanitarian aid.
