A suicide bomber killed at least 12 people outside a court building in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, on Tuesday, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said.

Smoke rose and people were seen running away when a second blast hit near the entrance of one of the lower courts at around lunch time, when the area is typically crowded, also leaving 27 people injured. 

Eyewitness to the blast, lawyer Rustam Malik, said, "There was fire all over. Body parts were strewn. There was chaos."

There was no word yet on who was responsible for the attacks.
