The 1957 Cosa Nostra “Apalachin Meeting.”

From The History Guy.

Mob boss Albert Anastasia’s murder was one part of a power struggle between crime families, and it drew national attention. But, more importantly, it would lead to a historic meeting between heads of the underworld syndicates that would change both the public’s and law enforcement’s, attitudes towards organized crime in the United States. The 1957 Apalachin meeting is history that deserves to be remembered.

Special thanks to The Mob Museum. The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement.
