Toronto police provide update on “brazen” Queen Street gunfight that resulted in 23 arrests | LIVE

From Global News.

Officials from the Toronto Police Service (TPS) are scheduled to provide an update following a "brazen exchange of gunfire” outside of a Queen Street recording studio on Monday night.

Officers were in the area for an unrelated investigation when an alleged stolen vehicle pulled up in front of the business and three people got out. Shooting began at around 11:20 p.m. before officers were able to box the vehicle in as the suspects tried to flee.

One person was arrested following a brief foot chase, while two others managed to escape and are still being sought after by police, Deputy Chief Lauren Pogue told reporters Tuesday.

Numerous people were arrested at the recording studio, and multiple guns were seized inside – including on the rooftop and hidden in garbage bins nearby. 23 arrests, in total, were made.
