President Donald Trump hopes to sign a bill ending the longest government shutdown in US history later Wednesday, after its expected passage by the Republican-led Congress, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt tells reporters. The House of Representatives is expected to rubber-stamp a contentious Senate-passed funding package that will reopen federal agencies.
