Ukraine faces blackouts this winter if power plants affected by Russian strikes cannot be restored

From NPR.

Russian strikes have destroyed about half of Ukraine’s power generating capacity this year. If some affected plants cannot begin operating again soon, Ukraine will not generate enough power to meet demand this winter. Staff at those plants are frantically working to avoid months of blackouts ahead.

Note: The utility company, citing security reasons, asked NPR to omit the plant’s location and worker’s full names from this video.
