From PBS NewsHour.

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders spoke at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Tuesday, a day that leading Republicans and other featured attendees were focused on the themes of safety and immigration.

Huckabee Sanders talked about the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.

“We cannot know what the future holds,” Huckabee Sanders said. “But we know damn sure who holds the future in his hands. God spared President Trump from that assassin because God is not finished with him yet and he most certainly is not finished with America yet either.”

During the convention, delegates will adopt a party platform and Trump will formally accept the Republican nomination for president. On Monday, Trump named Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio as his running mate.
