Yahya Sinwar, one of the chief architects of Hamas’ attack on Israel last year and the most wanted man by Israel’s military, was killed in an Israeli operation in Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Thursday. According to the IDF, Sinwar was trying to flee from house to house in Rafah when they targeted him. Sinwar’s body was brought to the centre for forensic medicine in Tel Aviv, where his identity was confirmed.
