For over half a century, teenage girls have howled themselves hoarse at the sight of male pop stars. For about as long as young females have swooned over boy bands like One Direction, The Backstreet Boys, and the latest K-pop sensation BTS, young males have been (mostly) hating them. Not just ignoring or dismissing them, but actively despising them. Today we discuss where this animosity comes from.
