Tiger Woods arrested, suspected of DUI in rollover car crash: police

From Global News.

Tiger Woods has been arrested following a rollover car accident in Jupiter Island, Fla., police said during a press conference on Friday.

Woods was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an unknown substance, according to police. Nobody was injured in the crash, Sheriff John Budensiek told reporters.

Budensiek alleged Woods clipped the back of another driver’s truck heading northbound on a narrow two-lane road while attempting an overtake it. His vehicle then rolled onto its driver’s side.

Officers said they believe he was impaired on “some kind” of medication or drug, but was cleared for driving under the influence of alcohol. There were no drugs or medication found in Woods’ vehicle.

Police described him as lethargic on the scene after crawling out of the passenger side of his Land Rover.
