President Donald Trump and top officials discussed the war with Iran at length during today’s Cabinet meeting. The president claimed the onus was on Iran to come to the table and end the fighting. “In the meantime, we’ll just keep blowing them away unimpeded, unstopped,” he said. He later added that he doesn’t care about reaching a deal with Iran.
Meanwhile, in an interview this week, Gen. Stanley McChrystal (ret.) criticized the atmosphere that Pete Hegesth has created at the Defense Department, calling some of the "braggadocious" behavior "dangerous." Marc Short, the former chief of staff to Vice President Mike Pence, says he thinks the "administration would be better served" if General Dan Caine took over press briefings.
