Hungary’s opposition leader, Péter Magyar, has raised doubts about an alleged plot to destroy a pipeline carrying Russian gas into the region, just one week before Hungarians go to the polls.
The choice is between electing Viktor Orbán, who is closest to Russian President Vladimir Putin, for a fifth straight term, or a social-conservative nationalist Magyar.
While Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are backing Orbán, he is currently trailing in the polls.
As Redmond Shannon reports, the election will be watched closely and nervously from Brussels to Kyiv.
