Vance says US strike on Iran’s Kharg Island doesn’t represent a change in Trump’s strategy

From Global News.

U.S. strikes on Iran’s Kharg Island do not represent a change in American strategy, U.S. Vice President JD Vance said on Tuesday, speaking in Hungary.

It is the second time American forces struck the island, a key hub for Iranian oil production.

"Iranians are not… They were not the fastest negotiators before the war started, and they are certainly not the fastest negotiators now," Vance said, adding that "…we’re going to get a response from the Iranians by eight o’clock tonight. I hope they make the right response."

U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Iran to reach a deal by his Tuesday deadline, stating that a "whole civilization will die tonight" if an agreement is not made to end the conflict.
