From Global News.
Prime Minister Mark Carney had the opportunity to speak with Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen and the other three Artemis II crew members aboard the Orion spacecraft Wednesday evening.
More than halfway through their journey, after smashing the record for furthest distance travelled from the Earth by humans on Monday, the four-person crew was riding high.
Before joking about the crew’s preference for maple syrup over Nutella on their morning pancakes, Carney said both he and U.S. President Donald Trump were proud of Hansen and his colleagues for their achievements in the historic mission.
Amid tensions between the U.S. and Canada, Hansen and his crewmates expressed the importance of teamwork. “Willingness is a huge ingredient in a successful team,” Victor Glover added.
