Incumbent candidate Ismail Omar Guelleh casts his ballot in the Djibouti presidential election, as he seeks a sixth term to lead the highly strategic Horn of Africa nation. The 78-year-old is considered a favourite to win, facing just one little-known opponent–Mohamed Farah Samatar, leader of the Unified Democratic Centre (CDU), a party with no seats in parliament.
