The fallout over the Iran war has extended to a clash between President Donald Trump and Pope Leo XIV, after the pontiff voiced his concerns about the United States-led military campaign. Trump harshly criticized him, saying "he’s a very liberal person" and later calling him "terrible for foreign policy" in a social media post. Now the Pope is pushing back saying, “I have no fear of either the Trump administration, or speaking out loudly of the message of the Gospel, that’s what I believe I am called to do.” NBC’s Garrett Haake reports for TODAY.
