Pope Leo XIV says he has "no intention of entering into a debate" with Donald Trump, after the US president criticised him over his comments on the US-Iran war. "I have no fear of neither the Trump administration nor of speaking out loudly about the message of the gospel," the pope tells reporters aboard the papal plane as they head to Algeria for the pontiff’s first visit to Africa.
