Global energy prices are rising as traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remains more than 90% below pre-war levels. While the U.S. remains insulated to a certain extent, domestic prices are also moving higher – especially in California. Almost 75% of California’s crude oil is imported from abroad according to the California Energy Commission. Pippa Stevens breaks down what the Iran war means for California’s energy economy.
