Last Fall 2025, Doordash unveiled Dot, the first commercial autonomous delivery robot built to travel seamlessly on bike lanes, roads, sidewalks, and driveways, specifically designed for local delivery. Dot is developed entirely in-house by DoorDash Labs and integrates with their new Autonomous Delivery Platform, which acts as an AI dispatcher — matching each order with the optimal delivery method based on speed, cost, location, and experience.

Dot is now active in four Phoenix suburbs, making it the most established market, along with Fremont, CA that launched in March 2026.
