Zelensky says Ukraine open to energy ceasefire with Russia | BBC News

From BBC News.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has said the country would be willing to enter an energy ceasefire with Russia, in a bid to ease prices amidst the oil crisis emerging from the US-Israel war with Iran.

He insisted the attacks would only end if Russia stops targeting Ukraine’s energy system.

BBC Monitoring’s Chief Analyst Vitaliy Shevchenko says his latest comments come after Ukraine’s allies asked Zelensky to reduce Ukrainian attacks on Russian energy infrastructure.

It comes as oil prices are rising across the globe.
