For the past month, British jets have been operating over Cyprus, Jordan, Qatar and Bahrain after the US began its bombing campaign against Iran.

RAF pilots have clocked up more than 1,000 flying hours over that time, shooting down several Iranian drones.

The BBC’s Defence Correspondent Jonathan Beale has been inside the cockpit of an RAF refuelling tanker in Cyprus during its mission.
