Discarded human hair and strings littering New York City streets are causing serious injuries to pigeons, sometimes costing them their lives. Michael Cavaliere, a staff member at the Wild Bird Fund, helps to free the entangled birds and gives some of the city’s most overlooked residents another chance to survive.
