In an interview with Global News, retired Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield said the Artemis II mission marks a major milestone for Canada in space exploration.

He warned the return to Earth is high-risk, with the crew facing extreme heat and pressure during re-entry.

"Nobody has ever left Earth orbit except Americans… the very first country after the United States to have someone leave Earth is Canada."

He added the re-entry is “extremely serious,” as the world watches the high-stakes splashdown later on Friday.
