Atlantic Canada suffers from poaching as lucrative elver season begins

The fishing season for tiny "glass eels," known as elvers, has officially begun in Atlantic Canada.
While the catch is highly lucrative for Asian markets, the industry is plagued by rampant poaching and management disputes.
Harvesters are currently facing a mix of economic pressures and ongoing tensions over how the river-based fishery should be run.
