BREAKING: Trump says ‘effective immediately’ U.S. will blockade ships from Strait of Hormuz

From MS NOW.

In a new Truth Social post, President Trump accused Iran of “world extortion” for closing the Strait of Hormuz and said the U.S. Navy’s own blockade of the Strait will “begin shortly.” He even said that the Navy would begin stopping ships that had paid a toll to the Iranians for usage of the waterway. This comes after the failed marathon peace talks in Islamabad, Pakistan between the U.S. and Iran. MS NOW senior national security reporter David Rohde and ranking Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Rep. Gregory Meeks, join “The Weekend” to react in real-time.
