From DW News.
In Iran, US and Israeli military were forced to retrieve a fighter jet crew after their plane was downed over Iran. One crew member has reportedly been rescued. The fate of the other remains unknown.
The fighter reportedly came down in southwestern Iran, the exact location is unclear. Images of wreckage released by Iran suggest the fighter is an F-15, a two seater aircraft. Iran has deployed troops to the region and offered a reward for anyone capturing any of the crash survivors. This social media video is said to show the US-Israeli search and rescue operation. It’s the first known loss of a US warplane inside Iran since the start of the war.
