I’ve been waiting for years for a good cold core tornado outbreak setup, especially since I missed the tornado fest on December 1, 2018. I feel like I have finally redeemed myself for that day lol. Mini supercells are so great.
The video I mentioned at 6:13 is "Front Line Storm Spotting" by Skip Talbot. It’s where I learned how to forecast these cold core tornado events. The SPC forecast had a 0% tornado risk in the area I chased just the day before, but thanks to what I learned from Skip, I knew I had a good shot at seeing tornadoes. his vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVIQtKuDr2c
