China’s S2000 Stratosphere Airborne Wind Energy System floats 2,000 meters above ground, using helium lift and ducted turbines to generate megawatt-class electricity. This airborne wind turbine delivered 385 kilowatt-hours directly to the grid, enough to power an average urban household for a month.
