A bomb squad rushed to a Sherwood Park parking lot in Edmonton after RCMP pulled over a car in with a mismatching plate — only to find weapons and an improvised explosive device inside.

“It was designed to kill as many people as possible” is how a local security expert and former RCMP investigator described the homemade bomb.
