"I have some free time, so we’d like to get visas to go. I’ve already got my passport," said the 68-year-old native of the border city Dandong. For international tourists, North Korea remains almost completely closed off since travel was halted during the Covid-19 pandemic more than six years ago. But daily passenger train services resumed this month with China.
